Scope

This notice applies to the Varial websites and services that link to it. A specific product, beta, integration, or third-party service may provide an additional notice when its data practices differ.

Varial is responsible for the information described here. Third-party websites and services have their own privacy practices, even when Varial links to or integrates with them.

Information we collect

We collect information you choose to provide, information required to operate a requested service, and limited technical information generated when the service is used.

• Contact and account information, such as your name, email address, organization, and authentication identifiers.
• Requests and preferences, such as product interest, plan or team details, support messages, feedback, and preorder information.
• Technical and security information, such as browser type, device and request data, referral and campaign parameters, and a one-way hash derived from an IP address where used for abuse prevention.
• Content and activity you submit to a Varial product when that information is needed to provide the feature you selected.

How we use information

We use information to provide and improve Varial, respond to requests, maintain accounts, communicate about products you asked about, secure the service, investigate abuse, and meet legal obligations.

We do not use a public signup form to send messages to arbitrary third-party recipients. Security checks, request limits, and duplicate suppression may be applied to public forms.

How information is shared

We share information only as needed to operate Varial, comply with law, protect people and services, complete a business transaction, or follow your direction. This can include hosting, infrastructure, authentication, security, payment, analytics, and communication providers acting for Varial.

We do not sell personal information for money. We also do not disclose personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Security and retention

We use administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so please do not submit secrets through public forms or ordinary email.

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain security and business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal requirements. Retention periods vary by the type of record and the reason it is held.

Your choices and requests

You may ask to access, correct, or delete information associated with you, or object to certain uses. Some requests may be limited by identity verification, legal requirements, security needs, or records Varial must retain.

You can opt out of non-essential marketing email through the message itself or by contacting us. Operational and security messages may still be sent when necessary to provide a service you use.

International use and children

Varial is operated from the United States. If you access it elsewhere, information may be processed in the United States and other locations where service providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards.

Varial is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information to Varial.

Updates to this notice

We may update this notice as Varial changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated through the service or another appropriate channel when required.
